Hace ya un poco más de 3 años que me gradué de la universidad y la vida ha sido un reto tras otro. Hubo un tiempo en el que me sentí muy perdida y necesitaba alguien que me guiara, alguien que me diera una mano. Ser una mujer creativa en un mundo de hombres viene con su set muy particular de dificultades. Poco a poco me di cuenta que no estaba sola, que no era la única que se sentía sin las herramientas necesarias para navegar el mundo profesional.

Hasta ahora no he encontrado un lugar en dónde crecer y pedir ayuda; es así que nació la idea de recolectar las experiencias de otras mujeres. Más allá de ser un proyecto para hablar es un proyecto para compartir conocimiento puntual, tips, vivencias que puedan ayudar a otras y otros.

Me imagino que esta recopilación de información puede ser valiosa para mujeres que no habían considerado una carrera creativa; como dijo Nila, música y programadora “si no hubiera sido por esa mujer que vi tocar el bajo, nunca me hubiera imaginado que una mujer podía hacer eso”.

Tengo ya 4 entrevistas poderosas de mujeres de diferentes lugares del mundo que me han enseñado tanto y quiero compartir esto con el mundo, pero necesito ayuda. Tú ayuda. Esta soy yo, siendo valiente y admitiendo abiertamente que este es un proyecto más grande que mi persona.

A little bit over 3 years ago I finished university and life has been one challenge after another. There was a time when I was feeling lost and I just needed someone to guide me, a helping hand if you like. Being a creative woman in a men’s world has special challenges. Little by little I noticed that I was not alone in this quest. I was not the only one having trouble navigating the professional world.

Until now I haven’t found a safe place to grow and to ask questions, this is how the idea of collecting other women’s experiences came to be. More than just being a project to talk, it is a project to share applicable knowledge, tips, and life experiences to help others.

I can only imagine that this compilation of information can be valuable to women that haven’t even considered a career in a creative field.  As Nila, musician and programmer, told me: she only thought about playing bass because she saw another woman doing it.

I have already 4 powerful interviews from women from different places on this earth, and I have learned so much from them. I just want to share it with the world, but I need help. Your help. This is me being brave and accepting that this is a project bigger than me.
